Sorry, but the ENTIRE area is CLOSED due to MAJOR construction. If anyone is caught on any of the sites or floating above us you will have INSTANT KOS, not including A.R.C Base which they might have to drive a boat over us (NO LOITERING)
Thank you!
Thank you!
This is a topic about me (Jonnoiscooler) and Mikes Underwater Colony
Feel free to ask questions (wether they will be answered or not I don't know) We have built this entire thing, legitimately and mined the resources for the glass and stone or whatever you see. It was built by hand, we have a few secrets to how we stayed under water for such a long time but it wasn't cheating, it was just hours of being under water and slowly learning more efficient of survival. We built all of the glass tunnels and buildings by making a "mould". This would consist of building the area we wanted to be hollow with dirt and then covering it with glass, we would then mine our way into the dirt and mine it all out, leaving a glass shell for which we could do as we pleased. if any of you want to build your own under water building I advise you use these methods as it is probably the most efficient way. It would also be a good idea to start building it next to a desert. (in the ocean biome of course, we discovered, thankfully that our colony was built right next to a desert. Mining lots of dirt before you get started on a project would be advisable as you will need lots for making tunnels. We mined 1 1/2 large chest worths of dirt and that provided us enough dirt for all the buildings we created. (one at a time of course, as you get all the dirt back when you mine it out) Keep in mind, that all of the building and tunnels were planned out, it is a lot harder to make it off mind or memory, planning gives you a direct reference which makes it easier to detect mistakes and avoid making mistakes.
Pictures (I forgot to take the pictures in default screen size so I changed them into a 15 inch monitor size when I uploaded them.)
For starters, some over view shots:
Now some Shots of all of our farms:
Wheat Farm. Note: the sea provides the water for the wheat.
Cacti farm: for maximum area use these dimensions: 17x17x5.
An over view of the housing of the farm.
Looking down one of the columns of cacti, the cacti grows then gets pops off because it can't grow next to blocks. The popped off block falls down into the water and gets pushed into a water channel for collection. The dimensions I gave were the dimensions to have water running all into a certain point in the middle so that there is one block where water isn't, this is where you cna make the cacti drop down into a point that you can go to for collection.
A corner view, you can see the water I was talking about for the collection.
Sugar Cane: Once again we used water from the roof to provide the sugar cane with moisture.
Mushroom farm: Really all you need is a large enough room to fit a Giant brown mushroom and Giant red mushroom so you can just bonemeal a normal one when you need mushrooms.
Melons; the title says it all...
The process of turning sand into glass
Pumpkins:Nothing to say here...
Sand mine, where it starts:
The desert, void of all sand after we mined it into a pit, all the curves of existing sand is where there are lakes.
Another shot of our pit,
A ravine AnArmedManV3 (is better that all of you) (is better that all of you) (is better that all of you) (is better that all of you) (is better that all of you) fell in and died numerous times while trying to mine around it, the roof looked pretty cool so I took a picture.
AnArmedManV3 (is better that all of you) (is better that all of you) (is better that all of you) (is better that all of you) (is better that all of you) got so feed up with dying he started a brand new mine
The beginning of our Long under water track. This station makes it so minecarts don't jam up. I'll let you figure that out. (it requires a decent redstone circuitry knowledge)
Going through the long tunnel
An outside shot of the long glass tunnel. we had to make occasional pockets where we could put a redstone torch for the powered rails.
Another shot of the tunnel...
The station just outside our furnace room we put all the we mine in chest carts and pick them up here, its a lot easier and allows for more sand at one time
And finally the furnace room, we occasionally have all of the furnaces running, thats how high our glass demand is. the little tunnel on our left leads to the station we pick up our sand from.
Deep sea mine
the tunnel leading down to the outpost down there, the signs there for warning, not for show....
The tunnel leading down...
Getting closer....
In the outpost looking up the tunnel.
Now outside at the bottom of the deep sea mine, we tried to light up the floor best we could but its still hard to see with brightness on full
Kinda hard to see but if you look closely you can see the shaft leading down.
Hotel: This is probably the biggest thing we've made so far, you can rent rooms on the hotel, 32GN for a normal room, and 64GN for the penthouse. (It took a lot of effort to make so the prices are high)
The lobby, nice, relaxing place...
A picture of the rules.... for all you rebels out there!
Outside view of the hotel.
Entry to one of the rooms...
The inside of a regular room.
The Penthouse, an entire floor to yourself.
Entrance to the penthouse.
Look, Carpet!!!! which took a very, very, very long time to make
A picture of the rest of the room.
And for a Finale! A nature dome on top!
More looks at the environment....
My house... nothing exciting just thought I'd give you a look at everything.
And this is where I sleep...
LAVA!!!
Cool stairs bro...
Boat Launch, since notch removed boats rapidly rising we had to devise our own method.
AnArmedManV3 (is better that all of you) (is better that all of you) (is better that all of you) will demonstrate.
First place a boat in the water...
Hit the switch and press forward at the same time, and your out, ascending to the surface
The doors stay open after wards so you can come back in but i shut them for the sake of the demonstration.
Nether portal... Don't know why I put this here
Please visit us!!! You would be amazed by how much stuff we've done!
