To post images, you have to put
Code:
[img]
in frog of the image URL and
Code:
[/img]
after the URL.
i.e.
Code:
[img]http://www.minecraftwiki.net/images/c/c9/Redstone_%28Dust%29.png[/img]
Will show up as
Gimmie a hand here. Redstone_%28Dust%29

If you want to post pictures from your computer, you first have to go to an image hosting site (such as Imgur) and upload your image there. The site will give to a link that you can paste into forums.

To post videos, you have to get the random letters and numbers at the end of the URL, i.e.
in https://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=WUUsrp9bMDc, you would take WUUsrp9bMDc, and put [youtube] before it and [/youtube] after it, so
Code:
[flash(425,350)]http://www.youtube.com/v/WUUsrp9bMDc[/flash]
Should show up as
